The 1883 Challenge

FOOTPRINTS THROUGH GLOUCESTER

We Did It! The Inaugural 1883 Walk. Done.

On Friday 25th September, something very special happened.

On Friday 25th September, every step we took together became part of the history of Denmark Road.

In the mornng, we set out on our very first 1883 Challenge: Footprints Through Gloucester. In the afternoon, we returned having achieved something remarkable. Together, we completed our inaugural whole-school walk, creating what we know will become a treasured Denmark Road tradition for generations of students to come.

As we walked alongside students and staff through our city, there was an overwhelming sense of pride. We saw determination, curiosity, and respect at every turn. We explored the city that has been our home since 1883, and everywhere we went, Denmark Road students represented our school with warmth, good humour and generosity of spirit.

We are delighted to share that, thanks to your incredible efforts, we have already raised £16,604 towards our Help Us Grow campaign. This is a phenomenal achievement and a testament to the generosity and commitment of our school community.

But we're not finished yet.

Our target is £18,830, a figure chosen to celebrate our founding year, and we are now within touching distance. Are you willing to donate £18.83 in recognition of what we have achieved? A grandparent, neighbour, family friend, former student, might be delighted to support a young person who has just helped make school history.

Every donation brings us closer to our goal and helps us improve our Pinks and our Yellows!
